We will be sorting through photographs and historical records for suitable material to place in a Photo Book. This is the type of book anyone can create for themselves (a holiday book, birthday book, family history book) so you will be learning this technique along the way.
If you have any historical information on U3A Redcliffe, or a story or two why not join us. We are also looking for people to help compile the words for the book.
Guest Speaker Sessions.
We will be looking at reintroducing our Guest Speaker sessions. A small group of members have expressed interest in being involved with these sessions. One person is away and when she returns we will arrange a meeting early in May so that we can start planning the sessions.
The sessions were popular in the past and we have been approached by various Community organisations and service providers about holding sessions on Campus.
Wednesday 5th is Trivia Day. We do have one vacancy, so leave a message on 3284 2687 (U3A) answering machine if you are interested. $8 per player.
Presentation by Des Jackson on Google Products – Monday 22nd May from 1pm til 3pm.
This is a presentation about what products Google develop and it will also concentrate on those that can be used by individuals as opposed to business. Tutorial videos are included and as usual attendees can have a copy of the presentation to study at home. Google is a very interesting company that has grown to a $350+ billion turnover organisation in the space of about 20 years. You will see that Google is involved in product development in many surprising areas.
U3A Garbage Bins
We are again looking for a volunteer to bring in our garbage bins on Friday morning. Our cleaners place them out on the kerbside Thursday evening and we need to bring them inside and place them in the small storeroom next to the lift. We did have a volunteer but she will be away for a length of time, so any takers please? Just leave your name at the office.
